We are an independent initiative focused on the production and promotion of knowledge dedicated to the SWANA region and its diasporas.
Al Jaliah was first published in São Paulo, in 1922, and it ran for 8 years. Headed by Sami Y. Racy, the magazine was printed in Arabic and an important production in the universe of Arabic newspapers in the Americas from the beginning of the 20th century.
In 2022, Sami's heirs decided to bring the magazine back to life, updating its contents and format. Ranging from politics and religion to the arts, literature and personal testimonies, Al Jaliah wishes to bridge the gap between the historical and the present diasporas, the SWANA region and the Americas.
