About Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC)

The Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) is a cooperative digital library for resources from and about the Caribbean and circum-Caribbean. The dLOC partner institutions are the core of dLOC. dLOC partners retain all rights to their materials and provide access to digitized versions of Caribbean cultural, historical and research materials currently held in archives, libraries, and private collections. Learn more about becoming a partner at https://dloc.domains.uflib.ufl.edu/become-a-partner/. Beyond providing a home for digitized and born-digital Caribbean archival materials, dLOC also serves as a network for those working in and interested in Caribbean cultural heritage. Our governance structure includes an executive board and scholarly advisory board representing multiple countries, languages, and expertise. dLOC also supports the creation of pedagogical resources, the promotion of scholarly work about the Caribbean, and training focused on cultural heritage preservation. Learn more about our work by visiting our program website: https://dloc.domains.uflib.ufl.edu/. dLOC's operations are maintained by personnel at the University of Florida George A. Smathers Libraries and Florida International University Libraries.
