Algonquin to Adirondacks Collaborative

The A2A Collaborative is a U.S., Canadian, and First Nations partner organization that works with scientists, policy-makers, landowners, residents, and a variety of conservation groups to protect and enhance the unique ecological features and functions of the A2A region, a vital ecological corridor that links the Northern Appalachian temperate forests with Canada's boreal forests. As one of the last large-scale, intact forest and wetland linkages in eastern North America, it enables essential wildlife movement across the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence system. Maintaining connectivity is essential to support species adaptation to climate change, safeguard biodiversity, and ensure the health of ecosystems. We engage in a variety of projects to support our mission, provide a solid evidence base to inform our partner organizations' conservation activities, and lead regional projects that build capacity throughout our network.
