Our Mission: To support and empower the ALS community through a collaborative approach to fostering bold research initiatives, advancing advocacy, and providing comprehensive care to individuals and families affected by ALS. It is the only national non-profit that solely supports people living with ALS. ALS United North Carolina helps more than 900 people living with ALS in North Carolina each year by supporting all of the ALS clinics throughout the state, loaning medical equipment at no cost to those who need it, and providing financial assistance grants to pay for expenses such as in-home care, home modifications, assistive technology and more. Everything we do supports the discovery of effective treatments and a cure for ALS. We are here to help families now and will not rest until we find treatments and a cure!
