American Digital Realty (ADR) is creating a new asset class for Real Estate investors, called "Tokenized Real Estate Investment Trusts" (TREITS) that will offer investors a wide range of thematic investment portfolios across multiple real estate types including commercial, storage, multifamily, industrial, hotels, and special use. Digital real estate tokens bring unprecedented liquidity and precise risk control to the historically illiquid and “big bet” real estate market by making it more similar to the public stock market. Having a low minimum investment amount, and being able to buy and sell digital real estate equity on token trading exchanges, means that for the first time ordinary accredited investors can create a well diversified, optimized portfolio of real estate holdings. Retail investors can now create much better diversification across many different types of properties and locations for a much lower total capital commitment.
