The award-winning Amesbury Abbey Group has dedicated over 50 years to the care of the elderly and has been doing so with remarkable success since 1972. The group was founded by Mary Cornelius-Reid A.M. M.B.E, who realised when she was Night Sister at Winchester Hospital, that there was a tremendous shortage of high quality nursing homes giving a truly personal service and tender compassionate care to elderly people who needed it most. The group remains family owned and run and has expanded and developed, introducing the concept of independent living for more able residents, alongside their nursing care services, in fabulous properties across two sites in Hampshire and Wiltshire. Our aim is for you to be able to make your own lifestyle choices, and for us to help you fulfil them with as little or as much support as you need, both now and in the future.
