Amidon, Inc. has demonstrated experience simultaneously managing multiple contracts both as a prime and as a subcontractor with key customers that include all branches of the Department of Defense, the United States Army Special Operations Command, Department of Homeland Security, and the General Services Administration. Amidon consists of a Professional Services Division and a Construction & Manufacturing Division. Amidon specializes in general construction, designing and constructing tactical training facilities, manufacturing ballistic products, and providing training facilitation and exercise support services. Other services include classroom instruction, administrative support, facilities support, logistics support, maintenance services, and private protective services. Amidon was a 2012 recipient of CED’s North Carolina Companies to Watch award, which honors growth oriented, second-stage companies headquartered in North Carolina that demonstrate high performance in their market, exhibit innovative products, and display other unique qualities that make them “worth watching.” Amidon was also selected by Business Leader as one of the Top 50 Entrepreneurs for 2012 and one of the Top 300 Small Businesses of the South for 2012.
