By using the same source material for every innovation Amphico is leading the outdoor industry to a circular future. Our lead product Amphitex™, a 100% recyclable and coating-free alternative to traditional waterproof breathable textiles, prevents our clients from having to make a difficult choice between environmental toxicity and high performance. It’s never been more difficult to enjoy the outdoors without polluting it. The same products that enable us to endure harsh weather conditions are often the ones putting toxic chemicals into our waterways and landfills; unrecyclable and unacceptable. Working at the intersection of science, engineering and design, Amphico is paving the way for a radically simple solution: to make everything from one thing. We’re taking our innovative polymer – recyclable and PFC-free – and pushing it to the max to create garments, gills and more. No fabric-of-the-month or juggling materials, just one versatile polymer closing the loop in the outdoor industry. Founded by Royal College of Art and Imperial College London graduate Jun Kamei, based in London at the InnovationRCA incubator and Makerversity.
