Health care is changing & nurses cannot sit on the sidelines while decisions are made that affect our patients, our careers, and our personal wellbeing. Organizations that purport to speak for nurses are not representative of the breadth of the nursing profession. ANA-Ohio is an organization for RNs who provide direct care at the bedside, in community settings, classrooms, public health, and many other venues, as well as RNs in positions of leadership with the power to make policy changes. Having a wide perspective within a single entity allows for a broad frame of reference that reflects the concerns of new nurses, mid-career nurses, as well as those who call themselves "retired" nurses.
