About Ancestry Talks With Paul Crooks

About I pioneered research into African Caribbean genealogy during the 1990s. I traced my family history from London, back 6 generations, to ancestors captured of the West African coast and enslaved on a sugar plantation in Jamaica. I gained national recognition for my work when my acclaimed historical novel Ancestors (based on the true story of the author's African ancestors) was published in 2002. I appeared on Who Do You Think You Are? (Moira Stuart) as the expert in African Caribbean genealogy. My second book A Tree Without Roots is the seminal guide to tracing African, British and Asian Caribbean ancestry. As a pioneer in African Caribbean genealogy research in the 1990s, I have traced my family history from London back six generations, uncovering ancestors who were captured off the West African coast and enslaved on a sugar plantation in Jamaica. My acclaimed historical novel, Ancestors, based on the true story of my African ancestors, gained national recognition when it was published in 2002. I even appeared as an expert in African Caribbean genealogy on the TV show Who Do You Think You Are? with Moira Stuart. My second book, A Tree Without Roots, is a seminal guide to tracing African, British, and Asian Caribbean ancestry. But my work goes beyond personal research. I am passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion, and I use my expertise to help people share their cultural identity and family history to foster appreciation and understanding among different communities. I provide a platform for arts, culture, health & wellbeing agencies, as well as corporate organizations, to reach African Caribbean communities and facilitate conversations about ancestry to bridge cultural gaps and promote successful cross-cultural collaboration among employees. Through Ancestry Talks, I provide resources and knowledge about African Caribbean ancestry to equip people for a multicultural Britain and a global economy. My ancestry workshops are interactive and engaging,
