André Paquette Publishing Company Inc

André Paquette Publishing Company Inc company information, Employees & Contact Information

Founded in 1947 by Antonio Bussière, owner of Rigaud's Interrogation newspaper, the Hawkesbury Carillon was barely open a year before Bussière decided to pack up. A journalist named André Paquette offered to buy the newspaper for the modest sum of a dollar. Paquette grew the failing newspaper into a major regional weekly, serving the town of Hawkesbury and parts of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. At its peak, Le Carillon would have several sections and nearly a hundred pages. Paquette founded the company that now bears his name, La Compagnie Edition André Paquette Inc. (EAP), to oversee the aspects of his ever-growing business, including four other weeklies, a commercial printing business, and a distribution company. Almost 75 years later, EAP still publishes Le Carillon, along with The Tribune Express in Hawkesbury, L'Argenteuil in Lachute, the Vision in Clarence-Rockland, and the Reflet News in Russell-Embrun-Casselman.
