The VAR Check is a simple yet profound reflection exercise. VAR stands for Valued, Appreciated, and Rewarded. And at least three times a day — morning, noon, and night — we pause to reflect. Am I feeling Valued? Am I feeling Appreciated? Is my life and work Rewarding? It’s a quick check we can do at any time and a reminder to show up, step up, and not accept less than our best even if others seem satisfied.
