Ankron is an independent provider of consulting and testing services to the maritime industry, supporting ship owners, manufacturers and authorities in all areas of technical development, approval and proper operation of equipment and water treatment systems.
We use our experience with maritime and land-based water technologies to provide qualified testing and sampling and state-of-the-art consulting.
One of our core competencies is ballast water treatment. Ankron is Sub Laboratory of an Independent Lab and offers a wide range of services related to approval processes for IMO and USCG, covering all phases of Type Approval including readiness evaluation, shipboard testing, scaling, optimization and document preparation with full reporting in addition to overall project management.
For ship owners, we are an independent provider of Commissioning tests and VGP tests. By taking over the organizational project coordination, we relieve our customers from dealing with the complex planning conditions and the applicable regulatory requirements.
In addition to ballast water treatment, our services also include a wide range of wastewater treatment, drinking water and bilge and scrubber water treatment services. We can draw on extensive experience with standard and innovative treatment technologies such as membrane filtration, ozone, chlorine and other chemical applications as well as UV treatment with conventional UV lamps or UVC-LEDs and thus also cover the area of consulting and testing with a focus on land-based water technologies. In addition, we prepare up-to-date feasibility studies or market and demand analyses.
Our in-depth user and market knowledge is applied in a targeted manner to support research institutes and manufacturers in the research and development of innovative water treatment systems, components and verification methods.
