Its aim is to make pet ant keeping simple and enjoyable and thereby promote ant awareness and inspire conservation. It was founded by Michael Bustos in 2009 and has since shipped hundreds of thousands of formicaria (ant farms) and ant keeping gear worldwide, contributed to scientific research, and consulted with agricultural companies and museums.
