AOC Community Media is Lafayette's premier community media center focused on building an engaged and informed community through media, technology and education. AOC supports the First Amendment - a fundamental element of a functioning democracy. Whether through television or Internet radio, AOC seeks to always preserve our community’s ability to express its opinions and creativity.
AOC has two television channels, Cox Communications 15 and 16 or LUS Fiber 3 and 4, but our reach goes far beyond our television stations. AOC Community Media is a vital part of Acadiana’s infrastructure serving its residents, local government, schools and nonprofits on a daily basis. These groups use AOC to create their non-commercial messages and then to distribute this information to the community.
Our memberships are affordable at $35 for 12-month individual memberships and $25 student, senior citizen or veteran memberships. If you have a group of four or more people, each membership is $25. Membership gets you access to digital media equipment including camera and light kits, access to our two television studios and editing lab, and a discounted rate to all of our workshops. Members must be live, work or go to school in Lafayette Parish.
