The African Organization for Common Ground (AOCG)

The African Organization for Common Ground is a legacy of the international organization Search For Common Ground, which ended its programs in Morocco due to a change in its overall strategy. AOCG is committed to continuing the mission of SFCG using the same approaches and strategies. Founded in 1982, Search For Common Ground aims to transform the way the world deals with conflict, away from adversarial approaches and toward cooperative and peaceful solutions. Since 2001, this organization has worked with civil society in Morocco to transform the way people and institutions deal with conflict. Carried out in partnership with state institutions and civil society, its projects have helped to institutionalize mediation in Morocco and have obtained international recognition. Indeed, AOCG is committed to continuing the mission of SFCG using the same approaches and taking the same path. AOCG works to: 1- To establish a strong peace culture 2- To promote citizenship values 3- To promote changes to behavior and attitudes 4- To disseminate human rights culture
