Apex Cetacea

Apex Cetacea and the Apex Research association are dedicated to scientific research, rescue missions, conservation, and public outreach aimed at understanding, protecting, and raising awareness about cetaceans in the Gouf of Capbreton. Research efforts include tracking cetaceans' geographic positions, conducting photo identification, observing behavior, and assessing threats they face. Rescue operations for distressed animals are carried out by a qualified team concurrently with collaborative conservation efforts aimed at protecting the oceans and the Gouf of Capbreton through various events, partnerships, and educational projects. Expeditions for public cetacean observation are organized from March to October, promoting respectful human-animal interaction and emphasizing the urgent need for their protection due to their ecological importance.
