Araki Labs is a creative laboratory that seeks to transcend the boundaries of art, science, and technology. We are interested in investigating the possibilities that these disciplines offer to understand the new forms of communication, perception, and human interaction that new digital media offer. At Araki Labs, we do not separate the physical from the digital, but understand it as a continuous space that completes the human experience of what we call reality. We are interested in the relationship between humans and technology, mathematics and language, and create projects that explore both human and machine practices, expression, and reason. That is why we develop ideas that explore concepts ranging from analog to digital, using different tools such as programming languages and electronics, customized computer software, drawing and painting. The result varies in different media, including interactive installations, generative art, audiovisuals, video, dynamic visuals created from data, and paper works. Araki Labs aims to create experimental and professional projects, both self-initiated and commissioned, and to hold art exhibitions, talks, workshops, and educational events that contribute to reducing the digital divide. Additionally, we collaborate with other professionals to enrich our work and explore new ideas and projects.
