The Arkansas Academy of Computing (AAoC) was founded in 2006 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to Arkansas' computing industry. With more than 200 members and annual inductions of around ten new members, the Academy fosters recognition, innovation, and the advancement of technology in the state.
The Academy supports 12 university computing programs through scholarships, helping students pursue computer science degrees. The AAoC also promotes educational advocacy, professional standards, and collaborative partnerships. With initiatives like the Computer Science Students of Distinction (CSSoD), the Academy empowers the next generation of tech professionals.
