About HyTECH
The ARC Training Centre for Hyphenated Analytical Separation Technologies (HyTECH) has at its core a research and training program to deliver highly skilled, innovative, industry-ready analytical scientists, equipped to tackle the most challenging analytical science questions across a diversity of the nation’s research and development priority areas, from advanced manufacturing to food and natural products, agribusiness, and the spectrum of environmental and health sciences. This new generation of analytical scientists will be equipped with advanced understanding of the problem-solving capability and potential of the very latest analytical science technology, and how it can be applied most impactfully, specifically hyphenated analytical separation technologies. The Centre will address a critical need in the analytical technology manufacturing sector for post-graduate and early career analytical scientists, with both fundamental knowledge and applied ‘hands-on’ experience of advanced hyphenated analytical technology, across a diverse range of application areas. In the training and development of these innovative young researchers, the Centre brings together a unique and powerful partnership, the like of which has not been assembled anywhere globally before now, including several of the world’s leading hyphenated analytical technology providers, together with Australian technology end-user groups. Collectively the Centre will work to address significant analytical challenges of current societal concern, with particular attention applied to areas of food, beverage and natural products production, and environmental monitoring and health sciences, for which industry partnership and research excellence together provide the pathway to deliver the required solutions.
