Arietis Pharma is a Boston-based biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of novel antimicrobial agents. Our drug discovery pipeline focuses on sterilizing antibiotics that target Staphylococcus aureus, a leading cause of nosocomial and community acquired infections, and Helicobacter pylori, a cause of gastric ulcers and cancer. Pathogenic bacteria continually develop and spread resistance, causing the efficacy of antibiotics to diminish with time. Antibiotics are indispensable for basic healthcare and enable much of modern medicine. Without them, routine surgeries and superficial infections could become life-threatening.
