We manage services in three key areas:
1. We are uniquely certified to move the "tough" stuff, as in hazardous, radioactive, or toxic materials, weapons, explosives, etc.
2. We are uniquely positioned to move products in the "tough" areas. We have the ability to safely, efficiently, and legally move products into or out of many challenging emerging and frontier markets (areas of Africa, Latin America, and/or Central & Southwest Asia) as well as conflict zones. Most companies avoid these areas due to risk. We got our start there.
3. We are a full spectrum logistics service provider with an in-house Licensed Customs Broker (LCB). As such, we have the ability to not only move products throughout the United States, we can clear Customs on their behalf AND manage Duty Drawback claims. Of the services we offer, Duty Drawback is the most beneficial to small and medium sized manufacturers because it is a legal way to get money back from US Government. Larger companies have teams dedicated to duty drawback; smaller companies often do not know this option exists.
How this all ties together...
Artemis got its start moving high threat materials in high risk environments on behalf of the US Government. Over time, raw material extractors operating in the same geographic locations engaged our company to move their materials into these areas (e.g., hydraulic excavation equipment) and their excavated or collected materials out of these same environments. Over time, we realized that these clients were bringing the products back to the United States with heavy tariffs for remanufacturing and exportation. Since one of our partners is a LCB, we began offering Duty Drawback services to these same clients which graduated into full spectrum logistics services in the US and other developed consumer nations/trade blocs (e.g., China, EU).
