Ascendance is a charity organisation working in the Dance for Health sector, delivering outstanding participatory programmes, performances & films, based in Leeds, UK
We have become a regional flagship for our Dance with Parkinson’s programme and work hard to provide a caring and crucial service to our community.
Ascendance has launched an exciting new venture with an Over 50's community dance company, which combines a professional and an integrated cast of people with Parkinson's. To date we have performed at The Age Proud Festival, World Disability Day at Leeds City Museum, The Riley Theatre, Parkinson's UK St Chad's Jubilee and The Orchard, Headingley with a new site specific dance for film work "The Orchard".
Ascendance run daily classes for a range of community groups and organisations including Marie Curie Hospice, Parkinson's UK and Sense across Yorkshire.
