Askiya’s mission is to “create self-sustaining ecosystems for West Africans in both West Africa and its diaspora communities for inclusive and sustainable growth ”. We understand that the road to socio-economic mobility & self-sustainment is not a simple process for any emerging community. Because of this, Askiya focuses on a continuum of strategies to establish communities where all West Africans have access to opportunities to achieve their full potential. Founded on international best practices, we’ve identified two essential impact areas for increasing economic mobility: * Investing in education and skilling - provide the skills, training, and resources needed to sustain a self-reliant community * Establish Development-Ready Communities - establish community infrastructure and spaces that support and increase revenue-generating activities
