The Action for Self-Reliance and Alternatives (ASRA) is a non profit Charitable Trust registered under the Trust Act, of 1860, working tirelessly since 1992 to empower Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in the slums and resettlement colonies of Delhi. We focus on four major areas: Community-Based Rehabilitation, Medical Intervention and Therapeutic Services, Educational Programs (Non-Formal, Remedial, Adult, Special Class), and Vocational Training. Through our ASRA Rehabilitation and Training Centre (ARTC) in Uttam Nagar and our Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) outreach program, we ensure the medical, social, vocational, and economic needs of PwDs are met. Our mission is to create a world where life after disability is filled with opportunities and support.
