About ASSESS
The ASSESS project aims to bridge the gap between research and industry by addressing the key challenges hindering the full-scale industrial use of smart composites. It seeks to design, manufacture, and test new-generation smart Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites, leveraging the expertise of 12 Doctoral Candidates (DCs). Through multi-disciplinary collaborations with leading organizations, ASSESS aspires to enable safer, lightweight, and structurally efficient components for aviation, space, and wind energy sectors, contributing to reduced material waste, lower CO2 emissions, and enhanced renewable energy production. The project will also play a pivotal role in advancing European green energy and transportation. Disclaimer: Funded by the European Union.
