ASSOCIATION NATIONAL VOLUNTARY FOREST CERTIFICATION SYSTEM

We have created the Association NATIONAL VOLUNTARY FOREST CERTIFICATION SYSTEM, because we believe that PEFC would support our country in the following challenges Establishment and implementation of the only National standard for Forest Management would allow us to harmonize previous legislation and international sustainable system requirements. This makes possible exclusion of the contradictories, that sometimes occur. Reputation of the PEFC would increase trust level to forest workers in Ukraine, which would allow us to build strong relationship with all stakeholders for the common well forest management. The main opportunity for Ukrainian forestry is transform from raw material source to finished products country. Nowadays market require sustainable and traceable product. PEFC certification would help us to increase demand for the Ukrainian final product, which would lead to investments in this area and growth of our economy. PEFC Implementation is extra important for our country and it could be the part of our reforms, which would lead to continuous economic growth.
