Athletes for Yoga is only athlete-led, on-demand yoga video platform + app that puts yoga into context of your sport, goals, and wellbeing. Subscribers use yoga anytime, anywhere (even offline) to become a more balanced, resilient, and powerful athletes and humans.
Founder, Erin Taylor, started doing yoga as an injured collegiate basketball player. She was reluctant as she rolled out her mat and in those early days and wished that yoga would address her needs as an athlete. There was no sport-specific yoga solutions at the time, so Erin began to create what would become Athletes for Yoga.
With a mission to help as many athletes as possible use yoga to achieve their goals Athletes for Yoga (then Jasyoga) started as a small team coaching athletes in the Seattle area ranging from the University of Washington sports teams to NBA basketball players. We built a popular public "outdoor studio" at Green Lake, and had many adventures on the mat and beyond in the PNW.
Her local classes were always booked, but Erin wanted to support even more athletes so in 2015 she started her video platform to make Athletes for Yoga’s practical solutions accessible to athletes worldwide — anytime, anywhere. In 2019 Athletes for Yoga grew their offerings with the official Athletes for Yoga app featuring specific use videos including recovery, cross-training, balance, running, cycling, triathlon, pregnancy, and more — with each collection including even more niche topics such as marathon training and stroller running.
Now, Athletes for Yoga supports a small professional team of athletes and partners with leaders like Olympian Alysia Montaño, socially conscious brands like Oiselle, real food pioneers like Picky Bars. A4Y continues to create new, highly useful videos for athletes (aka anyone who moves their body).
