Diversity & Inclusion in Sport Alliance (DISA)

The Diversity and Inclusion in Sport Alliance (DISA) is a national collective dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion across Australia’s sporting landscape. Founded with the collaboration of leading organisations, including Pride in Sport, the Australian Sports Commission, CMSport, Play by the Rules, and universities like Monash and Victoria University, DISA aims to transform the culture of sport to be more inclusive and welcoming for all. Led by a diverse Steering Group with both professional and lived experience, DISA champions meaningful change by influencing policy, decision-making, and community practices at both national and international levels. With representatives spanning all states and territories, DISA ensures that diverse perspectives guide its initiatives, creating a truly cohesive and representative approach. Through events, resources, and collaborations, DISA equips individuals and organisations with the knowledge and tools to break down barriers in sport. From tackling systemic inequities faced by First Nations peoples, LGBTQ+ communities, multicultural groups, and people with disabilities, DISA strives to create environments where everyone can participate and thrive. Together, DISA and its partners are building a future where sport is a vehicle for connection, empowerment, and equity for all. 🌟
