Auskelp specialises in the development of large scale kelp and seaweed farms in Australia. Seaweed is a high-value, sustainable, zero-input product that requires no fertiliser, chemicals or fresh water. Kelp is the fastest growing plant on earth and is beneficial to the environment and marine health. End-user products include high quality foodstuffs, fertiliser, cattle feed to reduce methane, bio-fuel and carbon credits. This new-age (bushfire-proof) industry holds unlimited potential for coastal communities in Australia, and across the world. Since 2021, Auskelp has been testing and developing offshore farming techniques for Ecklonia radiata (Golden Kelp). We are the first company in the world to successfully grow Golden kelp in high-energy offshore environments. Testing and regulatory approval continues with local authorities, community stakeholders and various government departments to bring this new age industry to life. Full scale production is expected in FY26.
