Avivid Water Technology (AWT) has developed the TurboCoag™ system which is self-cleaning, lower cost, and requires less energy than legacy EC systems. The TurboCoag™ system produces 30-70% less waste sludge when compared to traditional chemical treatment processes. The sludge passes the standard Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) analysis and can be disposed of in a conventional landfill. The treatment process acts as a biocide, killing harmful microorganisms, while sequestering heavy metals and soluble organic compounds. Treated water can frequently be used with no further processing.
