AwhiWorld creates thought-provoking experiences, publications and events (including innovation labs), and transformative environmental and place-making programmes. From our home in Northland, New Zealand, we collaborate internationally. Cross-boundary thinking and collaboration are critical to solving today's issues. Our transdisciplinary projects open portals into parallel realities, sparking people’s imaginations and revitalising places and spaces. Collaborators include scientists, poets, psychotherapists, space researchers, makers, hackers and farmers. At the core of AwhiWorld (pronounced aafi-world) is a passion for uplifting the spirits of people, places and the planet. We do this by weaving together leading-edge practices, ideas and tools from technology, science, arts and the humanities. We build resilience, activate innovation, regenerate people and places, and are committed to improving the world.
