African Youth Employment Initiatives Burundi is a non-profit organization that aims to mobilize, organize, and empower the young people in Burundi through agri-business. We seek to help change the mindset that agriculture is the profession of the poor. At AYEI-Burundi, we believe that agriculture can be turned into a sustainable business that can change for the best the lives of many Burundians, especially young people. Our actions go from sensitization about the indisputable role that agri-business has to play at individual, community and national development levels to to training in the design and development of agri-business projects, and then to funding selected best projects and mentoring the laureates throughout their project implementation. We believe that if all stakeholders place due focus and resources to agri-business and the mobilization and empowerment of the youth therein, lives will change for the best and everyone will benefit.
