Help a Child Burundi

Help a Child is an international relief aid and development organization with the overall objective to improve the wellbeing of children within their communities by enabling their social, emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual/moral development. Help a Child aims to ensure that children from an early age, particularly from the hardest to reach and most vulnerable families and communities, receive the care and support they need to develop, and to cope with the growing global challenges and inequality. The organization has been working in Burundi through partners since 2009 carrying out community-based interventions in the Early childhood education (ECD), Child Protection, Food Security, Shelter and NFI, Early recovery and livelihood sectors. The organization has contributed towards the rehabilitation of 43 community infrastructures, it has supported 29,419 children through ECD and child protection programs, 24,163 youth through TVET, AVET and financial literacy trainings and 33,037 community members through solidarity groups and farmer groups.
