Advancing Youth Opportunities Initiative(AYOI)

Youth unemployment continues to be a huge challenge in our community and national level. Most youth of the same age has skyrocated over recent years contributing to enormous demand in the labor force. Youth unemployment is higher than adult unemployment since many graduates do not find employment right after they graduate. The major challenge that contribute to unemployment is that most youth have no employable skills, skills mismatch, vulnerability, sexuality education, attitude of youth towards work, insufficient business knowledge and lack of entrepreneurship mindset. This has lead to establishment of AYOI that aims to create opportunities where deprived youth start, grow and sustain their enterprises, while enabling those seeking employment to become professional and productive.
