We are a family business with a small dedicated team determined to prove that woodlands can survive and flourish without being a burden on their owners. We are currently working with the forestry commission to bring our own 200-acre forest, called Backwell Woods, back into sustainable management. In fact, thanks to the support of our customers Backwell Woods is now becoming self-sustaining. Demand for our high-quality firewood is now so high we are able to act as an outlet for other sustainable wood owners who meet our quality standards. These standards are met by a mixture of seasoning and kiln drying to produce a low moisture log which is good enough to burn in our own fireplaces and stoves as well as yours. By buying firewood from Backwell Logs you are helping us to provide our local communities and surrounding areas with a product and environment that supports our local economy and keeps homes warm in winter.
