We are a family business with a small dedicated team determined to prove that woodlands can survive and flourish without being a burden on their owners. We are currently working with the forestry commission to bring our own 200-acre forest, called Backwell Woods, back into sustainable management. In fact, thanks to the support of our customers Backwell Woods is now becoming self-sustaining.
Demand for our high-quality firewood is now so high we are able to act as an outlet for other sustainable wood owners who meet our quality standards. These standards are met by a mixture of seasoning and kiln drying to produce a low moisture log which is good enough to burn in our own fireplaces and stoves as well as yours.
