The Banyan Academy of Leadership in Mental Health (BALM) is a sister organisation of The Banyan, a 27-year-old pro-impact organisation that engages in individualised evidence-based problem-solving approach to meet the complex needs of persons in psychosocial distress in low-resource settings. It is affiliated with TISS, Mumbai and offers Post graduate level courses like MA in Applied Psychology and Masters in Social Work in Mental Health. The Banyan and BALM work together in finding localised attributions to distress, deprivation, exclusion, treatment and care, meaning, independence, family and human rights.
This is the official Placement Cell of the college, which openly welcomes organisations working in the field of mental health to connect with our students and contribute to the field collectively.
