Bargad Society of Human Resources

Established in 1998, Bargad is a leading youth development organization that has executed over 100 projects in collaboration with local, national, and international partners. Its focus spans four core areas: inclusion of vulnerable youth, youth health, peace & youth cooperation, and amplifying women’s voices. Bargad delivers services in training, networking, advocacy, research, and policy support to empower youth across economic, social, and civic domains. Bargad ENVISIONS socially responsible, politically aware, and gender-sensitive youth who uphold freedom, equality, and rule of law. Its MISSION is to empower vulnerable youth through education, mentorship, and innovative interventions; Support youth-led and youth-centered ideas while advocating for systems and policy reforms; and Promote gender equality and end violence against women. Bargad has institutional partnerships with 76 universities, 40 colleges, 35 schools, and 26 student organizations across Pakistan. It leads the Bargad Volunteer Network (BVN) with over 3,000 youth volunteers active in 84 districts, executing more than 2,000 social action projects. Bargad has trained 200,000 youth in leadership, skill development, and civic engagement through 33 in-house manuals and modules. The organization’s research contributions include studies on youth development, provincial youth policies, hate speech on social media, and alternative care facilities. Bargad's policy initiatives have engaged 22,000+ stakeholders, shaping youth-centric policies. The Amplifying Women’s Voices program empowers marginalized women in 16 union councils through training, entrepreneurship, and rights awareness. Bargad’s notable collaborators include UNDP, UNFPA, British Council, FCDO, and key government departments, reflecting its significant role in youth and community development.
