Barking Enterprise Centre was created to be the focal point for small and medium businesses in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham and the surrounding areas. It is a not for profit organisation which was set up to help stimulate and support businesses to grow the local economy. In April 2016 we became a community interest company! This means we can work across the country and are able to support other boroughs with enterprise solutions. Our services include: Low Cost & High Quality Office Space Our first brand new co-working space...we call the BEC Business Club We offer purpose built, fully serviced and furnished office space in varying unit sizes. Flexible Meeting Space We offer flexible meeting spaces including a conference room for larger meetings and small rooms for one to one interviews or meetings. Virtual Offices We created this service to enable businesses working from home to have a corporate address in London and to allow people based elsewhere in the UK to have a business presence in London. Free Events & Networking We regularly organise free events where experts in their field speak about key topics (for example, employment law, tax, marketing etc) to help businesses develop. On many occasions we also set up and run networking events to assist businesses in lead generation. Free Business Advice & Support As part of our ethos to develop and support local business we offer free support and advice through our on site expert business counsellors. Our building was designed to meet business needs and to be environmentally friendly. We were awarded BREEAM excellent and what this means is that our building is very ‘green’ through energy efficiency and the use of low carbon technology. Our ethos is to care for our environment in whatever way we can – both the people and the place.
