Barah Amen is a community fervently committed to the eradication of all forms of violence and discrimination perpetrated against women within the familial sphere. Guided by a resolutely feminist perspective, our organization is dedicated to dismantling entrenched gender stereotypes that enable and promote such violence, as well as scrutinizing and exposing the various privileges traditionally enjoyed by men within families, and their pernicious effects on the power dynamics between men and women, both within and beyond the familial context. Our ultimate objective is to uphold women's entitlement to safety and bodily and mental well-being within their domestic lives, all while fully acknowledging and respecting the personal choices and privacy of survivors. We are also deeply committed to raising public awareness regarding the diverse manifestations of violence and discrimination inflicted upon women within their families, and the manifold ways in which these impede women's full and equal participation in the public realm. To this end, we actively advocate for the enactment of legislation and policies that criminalize domestic violence against women in accordance with established international human rights norms. To achieve our multifaceted goals, we employ a range of diverse strategies and mechanisms. Our multifarious areas of focus include: 1 - producing and disseminating feminist knowledge materials on gender-based domestic violence against women, including monitoring reports and research documents. 2 - refining and disseminating our understanding of concepts related to such violence and discrimination, via a range of platforms, including social media and our website. 3 - promoting cultural and artistic initiatives that analyze and critique creative works with a view to altering societal attitudes toward gender-based domestic violence against women. 4 - collaborating with feminist groups and organizations, in a bid to eradicate all forms of violence and discrim
