Basel Multilingual Toastmasters

Toastmasters International ( http://www.toastmasters.org ) is the world’s biggest organization that helps its members to become effective speakers and successful leaders – be it in business, at university or for private occasions. A group of experienced and new Toastmaster-enthusiasts now aims to live the Toastmaster-Philosophy bilingually in Basel, in English and German. Our new Club “Multilingual Toastmasters of the University of Basel” is a meeting point for people with an interest in rhetoric that come from different backgrounds: English and German speaking, business people and students, Swiss and Expats. Toastmasters International ( http://www.toastmasters.org ) ist die weltweit grösste Organisation, die ihren Mitgliedern hilft, wirkungsvolle Reden zu halten und erfolgreich Führungsfunktionen wahrzunehmen – sei es im Job, an der Uni oder an privaten Anlässen. Eine Gruppe erfahrener und neuer Toastmaster-Enthusiasten hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Toastmasters-Philosophie in Basel zweisprachig (DE-ENG) zu leben. Der neue Club „Multilingual Toastmasters of the University of Basel” ist ein Treffpunkt für alle Menschen mit Interesse an Rhetorik: Deutsch- und Englischsprachige, Berufstätige und Studenten, Schweizer und Expats. Our club at the University of Basel was founded in 2011 and has been an official chartered club of TM International since 2013.
