Ideal candidate is a registered PE with at least 10 years of Expert Witness work, and a PHD or Master's in an engineering field. The BEAR team, led by Dr. Glen Stevick, P.E., provides expert witness services, litigation support, forensic engineering, and design services. BEAR Engineers have consulted on hundreds of critical, high-profile projects including the Alaskan Pipeline, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hercules blowout in the Gulf of Mexico, the Milwaukee Brewers Stadium opening/closing roof design, the Tower Air 747 fire at the Miami airport, the San Bruno pipeline explosion, among many others. With over 10,000 square feet of testing space, 3D printers, a full machine shop, BEAR performs development, analysis, FEA and multi-physics simulation, and forensic work on a wide range of products and equipment. Our Berkeley facility also includes an explosion and combustion laboratory, chemical and metallurgical analysis capabilities, optical microscopes, SEM/EDS, X-Ray and FTIR analysis, 3D laser and structured light scanning, and a variety of electrical and mechanical testing capabilities.
