BEKA Schréder (Pty) Ltd is Africa’s leading manufacturer of luminaires and Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester (GRP) poles. Since 1978, we have specialized in designing innovative, sustainable lighting solutions that optimize energy efficiency and lower ownership costs. Initially focused on corrosion-resistant GRP poles and public lighting luminaires for Namibia’s harsh environments, we expanded to South Africa in 1981, establishing our headquarters and factory in Olifantsfontein. As the first South African lighting company to achieve ISO 9001 certification in 1989, we remain committed to quality and environmental standards, now holding both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Our partnership with Belgian lighting company Schréder in 2002, and becoming its wholly owned subsidiary in 2013, has provided access to advanced technologies, including expertise in light control systems.
