Benefit Commerce Group (BCG), an Alera Group Company, is a progressive and results-driven firm, focusing on employee benefits, commercial property & casualty, and retirement plan services.
BCG was founded in 2009 initially as an employee benefits only consulting and brokerage firm. We saw a gap in employee benefits consulting, as most benefits firms were (and still are) simply spreadsheeting rates, without clear strategies. We stepped into this space to provide financial and actuarial analysis, proven strategies for both short-term and long-term success and the information employers need to make data-driven decisions on benefits as part of their overall corporate goals.
Our leadership team members have 30+ years of experience in the employee benefits and insurance industries.
In August 2019, we joined Alera Group, a growing privately held firm that is committed to selecting quality agencies across the nation that share its commitment to collaboration to best serve all our clients.
Since that time, we have continued to grow organically as more employers embrace our innovative strategies for benefit enhancement and cost control. We also have grown through acquisitions, which have expanded our scope beyond just employee benefits.
--Our Property & Casualty Division is an acquisition we made in 2021 of a top-quality firm that we have known for many years. This P&C division is housed at our company headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ, and we interact on a daily basis to assist our clients.
--BCG 401(k) Advisors, acquired in July 2022, provides retirement plan services, educational resources and investment advisory services.
We are continuing to expand our reach, in concert with Alera Group, into other insurance related business lines, to continue to provide our clients with more opportunities and resources to facilitate their own growth, save money and be an employer of choice in the talent competition.
