The Better Life Centre offers a multi-disciplinary approach to health and well-being as a variety of Allied Health professionals are located in one convenient centre. Our Centre offers support in the areas of Psychology, Developmental Paediatrics, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work, Dietetics and Counselling. Our therapists take a clear and practical approach to Allied Health. Clinicians focus firstly on understanding individual client needs. Once individual needs are established each clinician provides a range of targeted treatments and strategies. Clinicians at the Better Life Centre are committed to providing effective evidence based best practice. Our Better Life Team The team members at the Better Life Centre have extensive formal training in their areas of expertise, a wealth of professional and personal experience and they are fully engaged in professional development and peer review processes. Our team members have full registration with the Registration Boards applicable to their profession. What are our main services? We care for clients with a wide range of life difficulties. These include: depression; developmental difficulties; anxiety/phobias; fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD), PTSD and trauma; sensory integration; relationship/marital difficulties and counselling; separation/divorce; parenting; school issues; behaviour issues/bullying; obesity; stress; mood disorders; eating/sleeping concerns; image problems; career development/workplace stress/retrenchment; anger management; childhood issues; substance abuse; relationship issues; grief and loss; sexual and gender issues; caregiver burden; and speech and language issues. The clinicians at the Better Life Centre recognise that individuals have different levels of need, depending on a wide variety of factors. The Centre provides a range of options for clients seeking support, including personal consultations, self-help products, and group therapy.
