As an engineer with a broad range of interdisciplinary skills, our students combine computer science, electronics and mechanics at the interface of technology, medicine and robotics and thus play a central role as a link between the individual disciplines. Their in-depth knowledge forms an excellent basis (basic requirement) for innovation and creativity in industry and society. They acquire holistic competences to design, develop and use intelligent and high-precision systems in a broad and cross-disciplinary manner. Our interdisciplinary and extensive programme – with specialisations in robotics and medical technology and a wide range of options for individual focus areas – enables our students to gain a vast array of skills in the fields of mechanical design, electronics, informatics, sensor technology, drive technology, control technology, product development, microtechnology, medical technology, robotics, optics/photonics, rehabilitation technology, bionics, prosthetics, mechatronics and system technology.
