Big Day Cakes enables everyone to print edible photos onto cakes in minutes using touchscreen kiosks and printers in retailers. Today, our touchscreen kiosks are featured in hundreds of ASDA and Supervalu stores across the UK and Ireland, with over 7,000 users every week. The Big Day Cakes kiosk and printer is the standard offering designed for large supermarkets and bakeries. It consists of a touchscreen kiosk on the shop floor and a robust food grade printer located behind a counter. Customers create their designs on the kiosk or Big Day Cakes app. The toppers are printed and cakes assembled for customers while they wait. Big Day Cakes is the consumer-facing side of Intercake, the leaders in photo cake printing technology. Founded in 2004 by brothers Colm and Hugh Nohilly, Intercake holds the original patent for photo-to-cake printing, pioneering the way for photo-personalised cakes to become part of everyday celebrations. All our edible ink and sugar paper ingredients are gluten-free and vegan-friendly, so they’re suitable for a wide range of dietary needs.
