Welcome to Caitie’s Cakes. I’m Caitlyn, but most people call me Caitie. I am a passionate, self-taught baker & cake lover living in Amsterdam with my fiance and my hairy fur baby Bodhi (French bulldog).
In 2019 during my journey of self-discovery I wanted to start living an authentic life and I wanted to contribute to something bigger than myself. I live to inspire and want to impact people' lives. Leave people with more hope than they had before they met me. I want my journey to inspire and encourage others to follow their passion and purpose in life. Finally I took the leap to pursue a new career path that marries two of my biggest passions – baking and contributing to something bigger than myself.
Now with my very own company, Caitie's Cakes, I’m officially a full-time baker, on the mission to make people's lives a little sweeter with familiar, incredibly delicious baked goods!
Though I have called the Netherlands home for most of my life and consider myself Dutch, there's a special place in my heart for South Africa as Johannesburg was where I was born and spent my childhood. Here is where charities like the Tjommie foundation, which supports vulnerable South African children, completes the business model for Catie’s Cakes.
The joy of giving has always been a major theme in my life and this is something I try to incorporate in my business wherever I can. By supporting Caitie’s Cakes, you’ll automatically be doing your part too, to better this world, through the regular fundraisers we organise for various worthwhile causes. We all have the power to do something for nothing, be better people and inspire others to believe in the goodness of mankind.
All my ‘feel-good & do-good’ treats are made to order and freshly baked in-house with carefully selected ingredients.
