The Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Center is a cornerstone of Silicon Valley, deeply integrated into the local community along The Alameda. We build strong connections with local businesses and tech companies, which often volunteer as groups to support our ongoing initiatives. Our Center hosts a variety of special events, including Job Fairs, Flea and Maker Markets, Trans Day of Visibility, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Hanukkah and Lunar New Year celebrations.
We are committed to education and outreach, fostering connection with the broader community. Visitors to the Center can enjoy Rainbow Bingo on Wednesdays, join the vibrant "Vintage" group for older adults (50+), and participate in "Gaymes in the Queer Library", which attracts many younger queer, trans, and nonbinary individuals. Additionally, the Billy DeFrank Center hosts many peer led discussion groups, and an Organizing Committee which addresses significant intersectional social justice issues affecting the LGBTQ+ communities and allies.
