InterRetail - LGBTQ+ network for the retail industry

InterRetail has the mission to be a visible network of retail employees who inspire and drive positive social change for our LGBTQ+ communities. The retail sector employs and touches every community and individual in Australia, directly and indirectly. There aren't many industries that have the reach or presence in everyday life that retail does. Because of this reach, there is a unique opportunity for retailers to make a positive impact for our LGBTQ+ employees, and the communities in which we operate. InterRetail brings together some of the largest retailers employing over 400,000 people across Australia. These retailers include Ampol, Australia Post, Coles, Endeavour Group, Metcash, Optus, TPG Telecom/Vodafone, and Woolworths Group. Of course, the work we do will be for the benefit of all. Our objectives will be: 1) To raise awareness and provide education around the issues facing LGBTQ+ communities 2) To build a forum of support for each other in our respective diversity and inclusion journeys 3) To create fun opportunities for our LGBTQ+ employees and allies to celebrate our diversity and history through professional and social networking opportunities 4) To support rural communities by creating positive contributions for LGBTQ+ people, our allies and beyond 5) To share best practice around LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion through widely accessible resources to drive industry change We are always open for a chat - reach out to us via LinkedIn or Instagram (@interretail).
